Hotel Torre Guelfa - פירנצה

The location just off the Ponte Vecchio is excellent down a quiet small street. The rooms are lovely and the tower bar is a really unique addition to this hotel. They will make reservations for museums and tours for you as well.

The air conditioning in the 3rd floor was minimal where the parlor was located.

Old-fashioned hotel with friendly staff, lots of charm and good vibes. Pleasant living room and nice - albeit small - roof terrace. Room (a superior) and bathroom rather jaded, but clean and pleasant thanks to the high ceiling and the wonderful wooden floor. Good location close to the not so touristy Olrarno and the all the major sights (in a not so touristy street).

Noise: having asked for a quiet room I was given one facing the courtyard - unfortunately there were massive, extremely noisy ventilation units. I considered asking for a room facing outside, but came to the conclusion that this was probably a choice between pest and cholera. With good ear plugs it became bearable. Uncomfortable cheap mattress.

The location was perfect and the wine on the rooftop was awesome. The view from the rooftop was amazing. I liked the idea that we were in an old castle. The breakfast room and lounge area were very nice and the ability to use a computer was very helpful to communicate to our children back home. The staff was very helpful.

Our room was very plain and could have been decorated nicer with more pieces of furniture or pictures on the wall.

We were impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. Our arrival was not the easiest as we had a rental car and the roading system had recently been changed. The gps was not logged into the new systwm and we were hopelessly lost.Found the hotel on foot and they sent a driver to collect us and garage the car. Very much appreciated.

Great location, nice atmosphere, very good breakfast.

The staff were inviting, warm and helpful. They recommended restaurants and phone booked for us and showed us places of interest on maps etc. The location is perfect and so easy to go back to if you need a rest during the day.

Breakfast was light, some cereal/ museli would have been great especially for the teenager with me.

The staff was very charming and helpful. The hotel had a wonderful history and old=world charm.

It was a little hot in our room, even with airconditiioning.

Wifi was very restricted to a small space on the stairs and was often disconnected - frustrating.

This particular hotel has an unforgettable atmosphere..you feel yourself being in a medieval castel! Great view from the tower going upstairs, ideal location, excellent staff, very good capucino! I strongly recommend you this hotel!

This is a charming and quirky hotel in an ancient building, so do not expect a holiday inn! Charming staff most with spoken English. Our room dark and shady.. Great for avoiding the midday sun. Tower bar gives wonderful views of Florence, and a relaxing cool point in the early evening. Bed firm and comfortable, continental breakfast acceptable and as anticipated. Air con might struggle in very hot weather, and the "safe" arrangements were a little worrying, but we thoroughly recommend it for it's charm, wonderfully central position, and reassuring and calm manager,Barbara.

The only serious drawback was the noise of the. Street traders every morning early as they dragged their trailers through the narrow Passages beside the hotel. Suspect rooms might be chilly in winter.

The view from the tower of Florence is stunning

Best part about the hotel was the tower bar. Hands down the greatest place to have a drink. After climbing several stories in a narrow tower you step out onto a terrace that overlooks the entire city. Get there early, the bar fills up quick. The staff was excellent...For example, we made the mistake of trying to drive in Florence. Long story short, we couldn't get close to the hotel with our car but they arranged for a pick up by the valet/garage service. The room was clean, spacious and had magnificent high ceilings. The hotel was really classic Italian, very old but beautifully preserved. Location was in the heart of city. You could easily plan 3 days on foot in Florence from this location.

The website made it seem like you could drive right up to the hotel with your car, but it seemed next to impossible with the limited traffic zones/pedestrian- only areas surrounding it.

Good central location, building of some character, roof top terrace with fabulous city views, good breakfast choices, very helpful staff

Some street noise at night but not excessively so, not sure what the air conditioning arrangements are during summer - would advise checking this out before booking
